Lichfield Cathedral

Ecclesiastical
3a

Lichfield Cathedral was built after the Norman invasion of 1066 and rebuilt in the Gothic style in the 14th Century. The famous west front was restored by Sir George Gilbert Scott in the 19th Century and is the only medieval cathedral to have three spires. We have been cathedral engineers since 1993 and in the last 23 years have been involved with the on going repairs and also the innovative retracting nave altar.
